Donations and Fees
Fees Payable to Catholic Schools Board
Attendance dues: Attendance dues will be collected by the Catholic Schools Board Ltd (CSBL) on behalf of our proprietor Archbishop John Dew. They are collected to pay for debts and costs associated with the land and buildings of the college, including insurance and only for that purpose.
Fees for 2012: Years 7-8 $96.50 per term $386.00 Full Year
Years 9-13 $193.00 per term $772.00 Full Year
Arrangements can be made for paying by instalment, paying by Telebanking, Automatic Payment or Direct Debit and paying direct to the Catholic Schools Board Ltd, and these can be discussed at the time of enrolment. The New Zealand Catholic Bishops are committed to making Catholic Education affordable to all. There will be personal situations where genuine hardship occurs. In such cases where parents experience difficulty in paying the full amount of Attendance Dues they should approach the Principal to discuss assistance in this matter.
Any cases of difficulty in paying the full amount of attendance dues should be referred to the Principal.
No student will be refused attendance for inability to pay the full attendance dues.
However, unpaid fees may incur collection agency costs if a prior arrangement has not been made through the Principal.
Payments to Chanel College
Magazine Cost: $10 when included with school donation(2nd copy $20) Otherwise $20 each
Material fees: Cover take home or personal consumption of materials.
Years 7-8 Technology Rotation: $65.00 Arts Rotation: $10.00
Years 9-13 This only applies if the student has chosen a subject which involves a fee. These fees are all listed on the Stationary List for the relevant Year Level and shown in the option booklet.
Other charges: Other charges are made from time to time for contribution towards transport for trips, sports fees, music, instrumental and vocal tuition or camps. These will be detailed in writing.
Sports Teams:There is a cost for each sport which is calculated according to the relative cost associated with the sport. These will be detailed in writing to parents once the student has selected their sports. Sports payments are due prior to competitions beginning and a re payable at the school office.

Parents are asked to make this donation as the Government does not provide for the many other activities and resources necessary for a holistic education in a successful school. Our activities fee is used to help pay to bring artists and performers into college, to supplement our library purchases, to pay for buses for school events and helps subsides other school activities such as cultural and sporting events.
The school donation is a voluntary tax deductible donation.
$35.00 per student per year
This is a tax deductible donation. The PTFA use this donation, along with other fundraising during the year, to provide additional resources and educational opportunities for our students. Annually the PTFA have a special project and currently it is to raise funds for the new gymnasium. In addition $1500 of this donation is directed to enhance the Special Character and Religious Education programmes.
