This year Chanel College is continuing with the sports awards to recognise the sporting talents and endeavours of our students although the criteria has changed slightly. The details of the awards can be found below. These awards will be given to the exceptional sporting students only. We consider these awards to be of the up most prestige, making them an honour to receive.

Awards
- Year 7-10 Colours (Bar Sky blue badge with gold writing)
- Year 11-13 Blues Award (Bar Navy blue badge with gold writing)
- Year 7-13 Sporting Excellence Award (Bar Black badge with silver writing).
Criteria
Yr 7-10 Colours:
- Regional level representative in their sport.
- Attends all trainings and games.
- Shows great sportsmanship and attitude.
- Outstanding and consistent performance.
Yr 11-13 Blues:
- Regional level representative in their sport.
- Attends all trainings and games.
- Shows great sportsmanship and attitude.
- Outstanding and consistent performance.
Yr 7- 13 Sporting Excellence:
- National level or international level representative.
- Leadership roles pursued (in or out of Chanel).
- Outstanding commitment and sportsmanship.
- Excellent attitude.
Display of Awards
- Each award will be sport specific, but in the colour of the level of award. Except the sporting excellence award.
- Students will be given pin bar badges to be displayed on their school uniform.
Process of Awards
- Coaches or managers to nominate players via form. These are available on the website, from the Sports Department or the front office.
- Sports department hold meeting for final decision.
- Awards will be presented in a school assembly at the start of each school term. Award winners will be recognised on the website and in the school newsletter.
Awarding of the same sport that has already been received
- An acknowledgement in assembly will be made along with a certificate, but no badge will be presented.
Sports Prizegiving
- At the end of year at sport prize giving students that have received an award will be acknowledged.
