THE CHANEL COLLEGE UNIFORM

JUNIOR BOYS

(Years 7, 8, 9, 10)

Summer: Navy blue shorts, light blue short sleeved shirt, College jersey, dark brown, black or navy sandals without socks or College socks with black shoes.

Winter: Navy blue shorts or navy long trousers, light blue long-sleeved or short-sleeved shirt, College tie, College jersey, College socks, robust black school shoes, College scarf (optional).

NOTE: Year Ten boys who have outgrown their junior shorts may change to senior walk shorts in Term Four.

JUNIOR GIRLS ( Years 7, 8, 9, 10)

Summer: Blue College dress, College jersey, dark brown, black or navy sandals (with backs) worn without socks or robust black shoes with plain white socks.

Winter: College winter regulation skirt, light blue long-sleeved or short-sleeved over blouse, College jersey, College tie, grey tights or white socks, robust black shoes, College scarf (optional).

NOTE: Year Ten girls who have outgrown the college dress may change to senior uniform in Term Four.

SENIOR BOYS (Year 11 and 12)

Summer: Dark blue walk shorts, light blue short-sleeved shirt, College jersey, College Blazer, College socks, and robust black shoes or sandals with back straps.

Winter: Navy trousers, light blue long-sleeved or short-sleeved shirt, College jersey, College socks, robust black shoes, College tie, College Blazer, College scarf (optional).

SENIOR GIRLS (Years 11 and 12)

Summer: Dark blue skirt, light blue short-sleeved over blouse, College jersey, College Blazer, dark brown, black or navy sandals (with backs) worn without socks or robust black shoes with short white socks or skin coloured pantyhose.

Winter: College winter regulation skirt, light blue long-sleeved or short-sleeved over blouse, College jersey, College blazer, robust black shoes, grey tights, College tie, College scarf (optional).

YEAR 13 BOYS

Summer: As for Year 11 and 12.

Winter: Grey trousers, light blue long or short-sleeved shirt, navy, vee-neck jersey, short black or College socks, Year 13 tie, College Blazer, robust black shoes, College scarf (optional).

YEAR 13 GIRLS

Summer: As for Year 11 and 12.

Winter: Long grey check winter skirt, light blue long-sleeved or short-sleeved over blouse, navy vee- neck jersey, robust black shoes, black tights, Year 13 tie, College Blazer, College scarf (optional).

JACKETS

The only jackets permitted are plain black blue or grey These can be worn to and from school. Chanel sports jacket can be as an addition to the blazer, NOT instead of the blazer.

COATS

Rainwear can be worn to and from College, e.g. duffle coats, black/navy woollen coats and regulation road safety coats.

SCARF

The only scarf to be worn is the College Scarf.

PHYSICAL EDUCATION UNIFORM

Girls and Boys: Chanel navy blue t-shirt, Chanel navy blue shorts, white or navy blue socks and runners/sneakers.

Optional: Chanel navy blue rugby shirt, Chanel navy blue trackpants, Chanel singlet, navy blue baseball cap.

Senior PE Students: Chanel navy blue t-shirt/ Chanel singlet, Chanel navy blue shorts.

NB - All students who do P E, MUST wear runners / sneakers. This is part of their regulation uniform. This is also a safety issue to avoid casualties due to bare feet.

NETBALL

Senior A and B, and Junior A : Have their own uniforms supplied.

All other teams: P E navy polo shirt, own skirts navy and sky available from Trevs Sportswear.

HOCKEY

Senior Boys and Girls: All uniform is supplied by the school.

All other teams: Shirt issued by the school and own shorts/skirts available from Trevs Sportswear.

RUGBY

Rugby jersey: supplied by the school. Rugby shorts and socks are available from Trevs Sportswear.

SOCCER

1st XI Boys : Tops supplied, P E shorts, and socks from Trev's Sportswear.

All other teams : Full PE kit (shirt and shorts). Shirts are purchased from the Sports Coordinater at the start of the season. Shorts and Socks can be purchased from Trev's Sportswear

CRICKET

1st XI Boys : School shirt is supplied, white trousers can be purchased from Trev's Sportswear.

2nd XI Boys: School shirt supplied, White trousers or blue PE shorts.

TENNIS

PE gear; blue shirt and blue shorts

SOFTBALL

PE gear; blue shirt and blue shorts

All the above clothing items (except shoes) are available from the uniform shop at Chanel College which is open every Monday between 8.00am - 9.00am and Wednesday during term time between 3.00 p.m. – 5.00 p.m. Holiday extra hours will be advertised in the College newsletter and the Wairarapa Times Age.
